Ontario Tech acknowledges the lands and people of the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation.

We are thankful to be welcome on these lands in friendship. The lands we are situated on are covered by the Williams Treaties and are the traditional territory of the Mississaugas, a branch of the greater Anishinaabeg Nation, including Algonquin, Ojibway, Odawa and Pottawatomi. These lands remain home to many Indigenous nations and peoples.

We acknowledge this land out of respect for the Indigenous nations who have cared for Turtle Island, also called North America, from before the arrival of settler peoples until this day. Most importantly, we acknowledge that the history of these lands has been tainted by poor treatment and a lack of friendship with the First Nations who call them home.

This history is something we are all affected by because we are all treaty people in Canada. We all have a shared history to reflect on, and each of us is affected by this history in different ways. Our past defines our present, but if we move forward as friends and allies, then it does not have to define our future.

Overview:

Learn how to make social media work for you! This specialized 3-hour workshop focuses using social media to enhance sales through building meaningful connections with quintessential professionals. The knowledge gained will enable attendees to create optimized LinkedIn profiles, connect meaningfully with other professionals, and convert these connections into mutually beneficial business opportunities.

Online course delivery is a synchronous format. This means you must attend the virtual class at specified date and time.

Kaltura Virtual Classroom and/or Google Meet is used for online delivery to support interaction and engagement.

Workshop specific requirements: 
A workbook will be provided to all learners in advance of the workshop. Learners may wish to complete certain tasks in the workbook prior to the workshop to take full advantage of the workshop time for feedback.

Those completing the Social Selling (LinkedIn) workshop are subject the policies of Ontario Tech University and Continuous Learning. Ontario Tech policies can be found in the Policy library. Continuous Learning policies can be found in the Regulations section of the Continuous Learning website. Specifically, those completing the Social Selling (LinkedIn) workshop are expected to adhere to the the General and Open enrolment regulations.

Personal Branding (LinkedIn)

The Personal Branding (LinkedIn) workshop is an add-on to the Social Selling workshop. These workshops can be completed independently, but we suggest completing both to enhance your learning.

Personal Branding (LinkedIn) workshop description:

Enhance your job prospecting and social selling with an optimized LinkedIn presence! This specialized 1.5-hour workshop focuses on understanding your online presence and building your personal LinkedIn profile. The knowledge gained will assist attendees with their personal and specific LinkedIn needs.
