All Additional Qualification (AQ) Part 1, 2 and Specialist courses: $675 (includes a $75 non-refundable administrative fee).

All ABQ courses: $725 (includes a $75 non-refundable administrative and academic profile assessment fee). 

A non-refundable late fee of $75 will also be charged to any applications submitted after the deadline date noted on the offerings page.

AQ online application process: Please read carefully

Early registration is advised as courses may fill prior to the deadline. Limited registration may be available after the deadline, although a non-refundable $75 late fee will be charged. If you wish to apply after the deadline date, please contact Continuous Learning at 905.721.8668 ext. 2892.

If your registration is cancelled for any reason, including failure to meet the admission requirements, you will receive a refund minus $75. Only in cases where a course is cancelled by the university will full refunds be issued.

Please note that the payment confirmation/signature page at the end of your application indicates you have successfully applied for an AQ course. An email confirming course status/registration will be sent after the term's application deadline date.

Prior to applying for an AQ course

For all AQ courses, a copy of your Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certificate must be submitted to the AQ office prior to course start.

For Part 2 and Specialist courses, a copy of your OCT certificate and a Certificate of Teaching Experience Form (signed by your superintendent) must be submitted to the AQ office prior to course start.

AQ courses with prerequisites must be supported with an official transcript, submitted prior to acceptance.

Please review course descriptions to be sure you meet all requirements/prerequisites. If you are unsure of your eligibility, please contact the AQ office (ext. 2892) before you apply. Course-specific admission requirements can be found on the OCT website.

All supporting documents (transcripts, OCT certificate of qualifications, certification of teaching experience) must be forwarded to the attention of:
