Ontario Tech acknowledges the lands and people of the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation.

We are thankful to be welcome on these lands in friendship. The lands we are situated on are covered by the Williams Treaties and are the traditional territory of the Mississaugas, a branch of the greater Anishinaabeg Nation, including Algonquin, Ojibway, Odawa and Pottawatomi. These lands remain home to many Indigenous nations and peoples.

We acknowledge this land out of respect for the Indigenous nations who have cared for Turtle Island, also called North America, from before the arrival of settler peoples until this day. Most importantly, we acknowledge that the history of these lands has been tainted by poor treatment and a lack of friendship with the First Nations who call them home.

This history is something we are all affected by because we are all treaty people in Canada. We all have a shared history to reflect on, and each of us is affected by this history in different ways. Our past defines our present, but if we move forward as friends and allies, then it does not have to define our future.

Overview:

This informative workshop meets and exceeds your expectations by starting with what customer service means
for participants in their immediate team, then expanding to explore best practices in meeting and exceeding
customers’ need in a broader, all-inclusive context.

Upon successful completion you will be able to refocus to your customers’ needs, connect and over-deliver;
recognize the importance of consistency of service as a key learning; and create purpose-driven answers to
your customers’ most common questions.

    This workshop includes, but is not limited to:

      • Includes at-home work, readings/videos
      • Direct and individualized feedback on lessons and assignments

Online course delivery is a synchronous format. This means you must attend the virtual class at specified date and time.

Zoom Virtual Classroom and/or Google Meet is used for online delivery to support interaction and engagement.
Online learning requirements:
  • Computer with internet access
  • Stable internet or data connection
  • Microphone
  • Webcam
  • Audio device (examples: speakers, headphones/earbuds, headset)
A workbook may be provided to all learners in advance of the workshop if the course. Learners may wish to complete certain tasks in the workbook prior to the workshop to take full advantage of the workshop time for feedback.

Those completing the Customer Service Skills workshop are subject the policies of Ontario Tech University and Continuous Learning. Ontario Tech policies can be found in the Policy library. Continuous Learning policies can be found in the Regulations section of the Continuous Learning website. Specifically, those completing the Team Resiliency Skills Through Change workshop are expected to adhere to the the General and Open enrolment regulations.
