Visionary Leadership in a Turbulent World
Overview:
These are exciting times for organizations globally, there are great opportunities that abound as we look at our globalized world. These are also very challenging times filled with volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity (VUCA).
Organizations require great leadership to address such challenges, we need leaders who have vision, understanding, clarity and agility to face off the VUCA that are bound in our world today.
This program will assist managers in their leadership development. It is comprised of five modules that are completed online and a final assignment.
This program requires approximately two hours per week for six weeks.

You may use the knowledge and skills developed through this program to improve your leadership and managerial effectiveness, such as:
- current and prospective leaders, and those looking to build their leadership skill set;

- Describe and discuss the meaning of the acronym VUCA and its implications for organizational leadership in the 21st century.
- Effectively apply VUCA Prime as a positive countermeasure to the disorienting effect of VUCA.
- Understand and apply leadership resilience strategies in the face of VUCA.
- Discover and discuss processes and practices of innovation as a mechanism to address VUCA.
- Identify and integrate best practices of change management to support organizational strength within VUCA.
- Understand the importance of systems coaching for organizational health within VUCA and develop a systems coaching program.

Online Learning

Online course delivery is a asynchronous format. This means you do not need attend a virtual class, except for the final all-day seminar.
Google Meet or Kaltura Virtual Classroom (through Catalog) will be used for online delivery of this program to support interaction and engagement.
This program will include the following online learning components:- Access to a rich multi-media library

Online learning requirements:
- Computer with internet access
- Stable internet or data connection
- Microphone
- Webcam*
- Audio device (examples: speakers, headphones/earbuds, headset)
*Webcam is preferred but not required.
Fees
Option 1 - Without certificate:$80 CDN + HST for five modules and final all-day seminar
Option 2 - With certificate:$280 CDN + HST for five modules, final all-day seminar, final project assessment, and certificate upon successful completion
Note: Certificates will only be distributed to those who have selected the certificate option and successfully complete the program.

You can register for this course through the secure online registration form. All course fees must be paid at the time of registration.
Any applicable fees must be paid by credit card at the time of registration. The secure online registration form includes an invoice option for other programs, but this is not an option for the Winter 2021 sessions of Visionary Leadership in a Turbulent World. Learners who select an invoice option at the time of registration will be contacted by Continuous Learning to cancel their registration and instructed to register again using a credit card payment.
- Register and make full payment for the certificate option;
- Actively participant in all components of each online module; and
- Successfully complete the final project.
Important notes:

- Certificates will only be distributed to those who have selected the certificate option. Full payment must be received before certificates will be distributed. Certificates require successful completion of certificate requirements to be granted (see Certificate designation tab). Repurchase of the certificate option is not required where a component of the program is approved for deferral.
Policies
Those completing the Social Selling (LinkedIn) workshop are subject the policies of Ontario Tech University and Continuous Learning. Ontario Tech policies can be found in the Policy library. Continuous Learning policies can be found in the Regulations section of the Continuous Learning website. Specifically, those completing the Social Selling (LinkedIn) workshop are expected to adhere to the the General and Open enrolment regulations.

Not-for-Profit Leadership Certificate Program
The Not-for-Profit Leadership Certificate Program has been designed to meet the unique challenges faced by managers in an environment where the focus is on helping others. Each day is facilitated by an experienced professional who has the knowledge and expertise expected in a university program. With their unique experiences and perspectives, each facilitator will provide a relevant and dynamic day of learning and sharing with other NFP professionals.
Professional Management Certificate Program
The Professional Management Certificate Program consists of five (5) courses designed to enhance the managerial effectiveness and leadership abilities of today's business professionals. These courses provide a solid foundation of business skills and practices for supervisors, managers, and technical professionals who require functional management and leadership training.
Master's Certificate in Public Sector Management
This program is an intensive 15-day executive education program. It consists of courses for managers and executives with diverse educational backgrounds who are experienced in a public sector/government or related organization. Attendance of courses is paramount to completing the program. Participants will receive a framed certificate upon completion.
