Professional Communications Certificate Program
Overview:
This specialized Ontario Tech University five-course (5) certificate program concentrates on the written, verbal and practical leadership skills required by managers, supervisors and professionals. This program expands on the Professional Management Certificate by concentrating on the immediate skills necessary for everyday performance.
Options:- Register for full program (i.e. all required elements) and receive a formal certificate upon successful completion; or
- Register for any individual course(s) to best suit your training needs.

Online meeting times
This program has online meeting times. This means you must attend the virtual class at the specified date and time (see the Schedule tab).
Google Meet or Kaltura Virtual Classroom (through Catalog) will be used for online delivery of this program to support interaction and engagement.
This course may include, but is not limited to:
- Content presentations and/or videos;
- Hands-on exercises;
- Case discussions and simulations;
- Group and individual work (assignments/quizzes);
- Concept and topic discussions; and
- Topic reflections.

Online learning requirements:
- Computer with internet access
- Stable internet or data connection
- Microphone
- Webcam*
- Audio device (examples: speakers, headphones/earbuds, headset)
*Webcam is preferred but not required.

There are no additional materials required for this program.
Fees
Full program: $1950 CAD for five (5) courses + HST
**includes University Certificate upon successful completion of all required elements
Individual course: $450 CAD per individual course + HST

The Alumni/Staff Discount applies to registration in this full program and these individual classes.

Registration
You can register for this course through the secure online registration form. All course fees must be paid at the time of registration.

- Actively participate in all components of each course; and
- Successfully complete any assigned work.
Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario
All classes in the Professional Communications program are Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario (RIBO) Continuing Education Program accredited courses.
If you are completing this program to satisfy RIBO Continuing Education Program requirements, please contact continuouslearning@ontariotechu.ca before the end of the program so an applicable notation can be made on your official certificate.
Please note that for RIBO spot check purposes, individuals must maintain the continuing education certificates/letters for 5 years to indicate compliance with the Continuing Education Program.
