Special needs

Convocation will be held at the Tribute Communities Centre in Oshawa. This venue is fully accessible. There is a drop-off location on Athol Street, just north of the main entrance, as well as a limited number of accessible parking spaces on the west side of the Tribute Communities Centre (access to that lot is off Bruce Street). Elevators are located throughout the building at the top of the sections of seats.

On ceremony day, there will be greeters and ushers on hand to direct guests requiring accessible seating. There will be wheelchairs available to assist guests to and from their seats; however, due to the limited number of wheelchairs—and in fairness to all patrons—these wheelchairs will not be available to guests to sit in for the duration of the ceremony.

For more information about accessibility at the Tribute Communities Centre, please visit their website or contact the university at or 905.721.3190.
