Regent Theatre

Regent Theatre

The Regent Theatre, located at 50 King Street East and renownedRegent Theatre exterior for its rich history and central role in downtown Oshawa, holds a special place in the community since it first opened in 1919. Known for its beautiful architecture and long standing connection to arts and entertainment in the city, the theatre has welcomed generations of audiences for films, performances, and special events.

Remodeled and reopened in September 2010, the Regent Theatre now serves a dual purpose: during the day, it functions as a large lecture theatre for students. In the evenings and on weekends, the space transforms into a vibrant venue for community and cultural programming, hosting live performances, film screenings, speaker events, and other special gatherings. It continues to serve as a legacy hub for arts and culture in downtown Oshawa.
