I chose Ontario Tech because I was the recipient of the Chancellor Scholarship, one of the university's major entrance scholarships. I also had a family friend who was in Electrical Engineering when I was in grade 12; she was a mentor for me, and I learned about career opportunities, what the university was like, and she helped me envision life at Ontario Tech. I chose Ontario Tech because of the smaller campus size. I value that because it really allows you to really get connected with your profs as well as your student body. Overall, it makes for a great student and university experience because you get to know and collaborate with a lot more different students, not just within your faculty but outside of your faculty as well. I chose Ontario Tech for two main reasons. The first one is because I got a chance to be part of the varsity women's soccer team, which is awesome because I love soccer. The second reason was because I wanted to go into chemistry and I saw that Ontario Tech had a lot of great co -op opportunities for STEM students. They also had a lot of new laboratories, a lot of the equipment was really fancy and I wanted to get a chance to use that as an undergraduate student.
