U-Pass
Our U-Pass program provides students with unlimited travel on Durham Region Transit (DRT) throughout the school year. The cost is included in your ancillary fees each semester.
U-Passes are distributed to registered students at the beginning of each semester. If you register for courses after the semester begins, your pass will be issued one business day after the U-Pass fee is added to your tuition account.
Your U-Pass is valid during the following periods:
- Fall: September 1 to December 31.
- Winter: January 1 to April 30.
- Spring/summer: May 1 to August 31.
Note: If you have not been charged the U-Pass ancillary fee and would like to opt in, please email us at upass@ontariotechu.ca. Make sure to include your full name and student number.

Spring/summer passes have been distributed!
Check your ontariotechu.net inbox for your voucher code. Once redeemed, your pass will be available for use starting Friday, May 1.
If you register for courses or opt-in after Tuesday, April 28, you will receive your voucher code within one business day of the U-Pass fee being added to your tuition account.
Access your U-Pass with your PRESTO card!
Your U-Pass is no longer available through the PRESTO E-Tickets app. You must use a physical or digital PRESTO card.
Plus, you get discounted GO Transit fares and free One Fare transfers when connecting from DRT to other transit agencies within your transfer window.
Head to the movies with your U-Pass!
Use your U-Pass for unlimited travel to Ontario Tech's very own Regent Theatre in downtown Oshawa. Check out Classic Movie Nights on the first Thursday of every month.
No ticket required—just show your physical or digital Ucard at the door and get in free!
