Change of program
If you're currently in an undergraduate degree-track program and would like to be considered for admission to another, you can apply for a change of program.
To be eligible for consideration, you must hold the prerequisite course(s) for the program to which you are applying.
Once you have confirmed you hold the required course(s), fill out a Change-of-Program Request form. Visit MyOntarioTech and select Current students. Within the Undergraduate forms box, select Change of program and readmission forms.
Please note: Applications to a particular term become available after the application deadline for the previous term has passed. Some programs may only have a fall intake.
Deadlines
- November 30: Deadline for applications for winter semester (January).
- March 31: Deadline for applications for spring/summer semester (May).
- July 31: Deadline for applications for fall semester (September).
Competitive programs
If you're interested in changing into a competitive program, you are required to apply by January 31 of the applicable year for the subsequent fall. Please note: We will only consider change of program requests for competitive programs for the fall intake. In order to apply for a change of program to competitive programs, email admissions@ontariotechu.ca. You cannot submit this application through MyOntarioTech.
Competitive programs include:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Honours)
- Bachelor of Health Science (Honours) - Medical Laboratory Science
- Nursing (Post-RPN)
If you would like to submit an application to your faculty to add a second major or to request a major to be removed, please complete a Declaration or Removal of Double Major form.
