The Ancillary Services team at Ontario Tech University is a group of dedicated individuals with diverse skills and experiences, working together to make your campus life seamless and enjoyable. 

Our team's success comes from our firsthand knowledge of student life. We're here to ensure you have access to the best amenities and services, enhancing your university experience every step of the way. Our goal is to create a vibrant campus community, focused on making your time here unforgettable!

Meet our management team

  • Melissa Price - Director, Ancillary Services

    Melissa Price is your go-to gal for all things Ancillary Services at Ontario Tech University. With over 20 years rocking the project and operational management world, she holds a CPA and PMP credentials to back her up.

    She juggles everything from food services, campus bookstore, UCard/UPass, and whatever else pops up, ensuring it all runs smoothly. Melissa is all about crafting killer strategies, analyzing data like a boss, and fostering awesome vendor and stakeholder relationships.

  • Mhairy McLachlan - Manager, Ancillary Services

    Her career has been anything but ordinary. With a background spanning entertainment, media, and telecom, she brought her energy and ideas to Ontario Tech in 2018, first as a Communications Manager and later as an Enrolment Services Manager. Since then, she’s been having a blast building innovative programs for Ucard and U-Pass, while flexing her creative muscles through marketing initiatives for Food Services and the Campus Store. She’s as passionate about mentoring young professionals as she is about bringing new ideas to life.

    When she’s not working, she’s most likely working out, getting lost in a page-turner, chasing her next travel adventure, or dreaming up her next home reno project.

     

  • Suresh Kisnasamy - Manager, Retail Operations

    Suresh Kisnasamy keeps campus running smoothly by leading Food Services, Bookstore Operations, and Vending Services at Ontario Tech. He’s worked everywhere from the Raffles Hotel in Singapore to IKEA Canada and the University of Toronto—bringing a world of experience to everything he does.

    Known for his strong commitment to service excellence, Suresh manages retail operations, vendor relationships, and sustainability initiatives across Ancillary Services with energy and purpose. Whether he’s fine-tuning menus or stocking shelves with Ridgeback gear, he’s all about creating smooth, student-friendly experiences with a sprinkle of fun along the way.

  • Albert Fogelbach - Manager, Parking Services

    Albert Fogelbach brings 12 years of industry experience and a passion for creating smoother, smarter parking experiences. Before joining Ontario Tech, he managed major Class‑A office tower operations in Toronto’s Financial District as a Senior Account Manager with Indigo Park Canada.

    With a background in security and a Police Foundations diploma from Durham College, Albert blends operational expertise with a people‑first approach. He’s all about making campus parking easier—and maybe even a bit more enjoyable.

  • Simon Head - General Manager, Regent Theatre

    Simon has spent over 35 years in the entertainment industry, with a career that has taken him from the stage to behind the soundboard and across the country. Starting out as a touring musician in the early 90's, he went on to build a career in live sound, tour management, and recording bands throughout the GTA and across Canada.

    Today, Simon brings that experience to his role at the Regent Theatre. Music and live performance remain his greatest passions, along with a love for art and film.

Meet our administrative staff

  • Karen Lau - Administrative Assistant

    Karen helps keep things organized and running smoothly behind the scenes for the Ancillary Services team. She’s also a graduate of the Accounting and Finance program here at Ontario Tech University, bringing sharp attention to detail and number-savvy skills to the team.

    Outside of work, Karen enjoys unwinding with her favourite music and getting creative in the kitchen. With her positive energy and easygoing spirit, she adds a little extra sparkle to the office.

Meet our coordinators

  • Carrie Knapp - Purchasing Coordinator, Retail Operations

    Carrie’s journey began 35 years ago at the Durham College Early Learning Centre, where she helped shape little minds and big smiles. When the Centre closed, she kept the momentum going as Manager of the Campus Childcare Centre, ensuring families continued to have access to quality care.

    After a two-year break, Carrie found herself missing campus life and jumped back in as Purchasing Coordinator for the Campus Store. These days, she’s all about tracking down the best textbooks and University merch to keep students geared up and ready to go. She’s back, recharged, and excited to keep things running with heart and hustle.

  • Madhu Vasudevan - Coordinator, Retail Operations

    Madhu is a dedicated retail professional managing operations at the Ontario Tech Campus Store. Known for his sharp eye for detail and smooth handling of inventory, merchandising, and team support, he helps create a shopping experience that’s as friendly as it is flawless. His mix of professionalism, creativity, and clear communication makes him a valued member of the team.

    Outside of work, Madhu enjoys unwinding with a good book, exploring immersive video games, or hunting down hidden gem restaurants. Want a great book or restaurant recommendation? He’s always got a few up his sleeve!

  • Sarah Brown - Coordinator, Retail Operations

    Sarah plays a key role in purchasing and merchandising, helping keep operations organized and on track. She’s known for her straightforward style, attention to detail, and ability to handle things without overcomplicating them—all with a touch of dry humour!

    Outside of work, she’s a self-described homebody who enjoys reading, binge-watching TV shows, and occasionally getting fully locked into a home project - where her attention to detail tends to take over.

  • Peter Chatterton - E-commerce and Digital Content Coordinator

    Peter Chatterton is a Bowmanville-based photographer and videographer with Ontario Tech’s Ancillary Services. With a background in Philosophy and Cultural Studies from Trent University, he’s drawn to themes like memory, connection, and what it means to belong.

    Armed with a camera and a curious mind, Peter captures everything from buzzing events to the quiet corners most people walk past. His thoughtful, people-first approach turns everyday scenes into something worth remembering. Whether it’s a smile, a shadow, or something in between, Peter finds the magic and frames it just right.

  • Maida Chaudhry - Coordinator, Ancillary Services

    Maida graduated from Ontario Tech University with a degree in Technology Management in 2024. In May 2024, she jumped into the Ancillary Services team, where she is all about enhancing the student experience for others.

    When she's not brightening up campus life, Maida can be found exploring new trails on walks, cooking up some fun recipes in the kitchen, or getting lost in a great book. Her enthusiasm for helping others and love for fresh experiences keep both her work and personal life exciting and fulfilling.

  • Roxanne Kerr - Coordinator, Ancillary Services

    Roxanne’s journey at Ontario Tech began in 2019. She graduated in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Forensic Science and stepped foot into the Ancillary Services team in May 2024.

    She has a passion for helping others, so naturally, her favorite part of the job is supporting our students and working to enhance their Ontario Tech experience. When she's not working her magic on campus, Roxanne is busy smashing tennis balls, grooving to her favourite music, and enjoying movie marathons.

Meet our marketing assistants

  • Joanna Githii

    As a marketing assistant for the Office of Ancillary Services, Joanna handles social media and a whole load of other exciting tasks. Currently studying Applied Biotechnology at Ontario Tech University, Joanna balances her studies with her love for social media and content creation.

    Joanna is also a music enthusiast who loves singing her heart out and catching live concerts. She’s also a fantasy bookworm, letting enchanted worlds fuel her creativity and innovation.

  • Mykayla Chaifoo

    Mykayla is a Business Marketing student at Ontario Tech University and a Marketing Assistant on the Ancillary Services team. She helps bring ideas to life by supporting a variety of marketing tasks—everything from creating content to brainstorming fresh, creative concepts.

    Always eager to grow, Mykayla is passionate about building her skills and taking on new challenges. When she’s off the clock, she enjoys exploring fashion, travelling to new places, prioritizing her faith, and spending quality time with her family and friends.

  • Tara Suleiman

    Tara is a third-year Data Science student at Ontario Tech University and a marketing assistant who also handles our social media content.

    With a natural flair for content creation and a love for being on camera, Tara brings her creativity to every project. Beyond her academic and work pursuits, she’s also a talented nail artist, turning her spare time into mini-manicure sessions creating vibrant and fun designs.

  • Zainab Sohail

    Zainab Sohail is a Computer Science student at Ontario Tech University and a dedicated member of the Ancillary Services team, where she primarily supports Ucard operations. Her work includes troubleshooting issues, answering questions, and making sure everyone gets the support they need.

    When she's off the clock, you can find her getting lost in a good novel, exploring new hiking trails, or spending quality time with family and friends.

Meet our store associates

  • Keara Mayorga

    Keara is a Liberal Studies graduate from Ontario Tech University, with a passion for communications and helping people. She works as a retail associate at the Campus Store and is also in charge of the Instagram page for the store.

    Outside of work, Keara enjoys walking, exploring new places, discovering new music, taking yoga classes, reading, grabbing coffee, and spending time with friends.

  • Ebubechukwu Agwagah

    Ebubechukwu is a Software Engineering student at Ontario Tech University and a store assistant at the Campus Store. He has a strong interest in software development and enjoys learning about areas such as devops, automation, and how systems work together to build efficient applications.

    Outside of school, he loves working out and playing football video games. These hobbies help him stay active, relaxed, and balanced while pursuing his academic and personal goals!
