Ontario Tech Continuous Learning is a proud partner with the Leading Edge Associates for all Lean certification programs.  

These programs allow you and your staff to become catalysts for change and qualify you as Continuous Improvement practitioners. It provides you with a top-class, internationally recognized qualification, as well as practical hands-on training that allows you and your staff to bring the theory into practice.

With tens of thousands of graduates, we have the experience to empower your staff to be successful in your Continuous Improvement efforts.  Our training focuses on what each student can do to help the organization grow and improve. Our Lean Green Belt, Black Belt and Master Black Belt courses allow students to complete a work-based project that provides a significant and immediate return on investment.

Upcoming Yellow Belt - Open Industry

The Lean Yellow Belt training program develops an understanding of Lean thinking and outlines the essential Lean tools and practices that can be applied across a variety of settings.

By undertaking this training, you will be able to:

  • Recognize and address wasteful activities prevalent in the workplace;
  • Identify distinct opportunities for improvement in your organization;
  • Actively engage in and make valuable contributions to improvement projects within your industry; 
  • Apply essential Lean principles and tools to make small improvements in the workplace.

Spring 2026 Yellow Belt

Classes for the Spring 2026 offering of the Lean Yellow Belt training program will be held online on the following dates and times: 

  • Tuesday, May 26, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. EST
  • Wednesday, May 27, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. EST
  • Monday, June 2, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. EST
  • Wednesday, June 4, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. EST

Final assessment

Participants are required to successfully complete an online multiple-choice examination to achieve a Lean Yellow Belt certificate.

Online meeting times

This program has online meeting times. This means you must attend the virtual class at the specified date and time (see the Schedule tab).

Google Meet, Zoom or Kaltura Virtual Classroom (through Catalog) will be used for online delivery of this program to support interaction and engagement.

This course may include, but is not limited to:

  • Content presentations and/or videos;
  • Hands-on exercises;
  • Case discussions and simulations;
  • Group and individual work (assignments/quizzes);
  • Concept and topic discussions; and
  • Topic reflections.
