Overview

Professor and student examining data Combine entrepreneurial thinking with a passion for social impact. Learn to develop innovative solutions, build sustainable organizations and lead initiatives that address complex social, economic and environmental challenges.

Make a difference by combining creativity, critical thinking and entrepreneurial leadership in the Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship specialization. Designed for students who want to create meaningful change, this specialization explores how innovative ideas, sustainable business practices and community partnerships can be used to address complex social, economic and environmental challenges.

As part of the Arts – General program, you'll develop a broad interdisciplinary foundation while gaining practical skills in social innovation, entrepreneurship, leadership, project development and strategic problem-solving. Learn how to identify opportunities, design human-centred solutions and transform ideas into initiatives that create lasting impact for individuals, organizations and communities.

Through experiential learning opportunities, collaborative projects and community engagement, you'll apply your knowledge to real-world challenges while building valuable professional connections. Graduates are prepared for careers in the public, private and non-profit sectors, or to launch their own purpose-driven ventures, with the knowledge and confidence to lead positive change in an increasingly complex world.
