Dr. Carolyn McGregor is a leader in AI for health and wellness. She builds AI systems that monitor human health in critical scenarios. Her lab’s work applies AI to challenges such as:

• Astronaut health monitoring: AI systems with NASA that analyze astronauts’ vital signs in real time to keep crews safe in space.
• Neonatal intensive care: Artemis, an AI-driven platform with IBM and SickKids, tracks premature babies’ health to save lives.
• Big Data for health: AI analytics platforms manage health-care datasets to prevent mental illness and PTSD for point-of-care staff like nurses and psychiatrists.
• Resilient health-care systems: AI that can help make decisions in high-stress conditions, helping clinicians respond faster in emergencies
