Health and Safety

At Ontario Tech University, we are deeply committed to protecting the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, faculty members, students, contractors, and visitors.

Creating and sustaining a safe, healthy, and inclusive environment for work, study, and collaboration is a top priority and a shared responsibility across our campus community.

We strive to prevent occupational illnesses and injuries through proactive measures, continuous improvement, and education. The university will make every reasonable effort to maintain high standards of health and safety and to foster a culture of care and accountability.

As a foundational requirement, Ontario Tech adheres to all applicable legislation, including (but not limited to):

  • The Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • The Environmental Protection Act
  • Other relevant federal, provincial, and municipal laws and regulations

Our goal is not just compliance but leadership in creating a safe and thriving learning and working environment.
