Our Commerce program's Accounting major provides excellent preparation for an exciting career as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA). Our program is accredited by CPA Ontario and if you complete all required courses, you will be eligible to enter the CPA Professional Education Program (CPA PEP). You will acquire up-to-date knowledge and develop the professional judgment and critical thinking skills that are essential for today’s—and tomorrow’s—professional accountants.
Accounting graduates who are eligible for CPA PEP can apply to our Graduate Diploma in Accounting, which allows you to complete the first four modules of the PEP during the summer following graduation.

Business and Society
This interdisciplinary specialization combines core political science concepts and theories with those found in other social scientific disciplines. It critically examines the impact of business on both society and the environment and provides students with the skills to evaluate important economic processes and relations. As part of their course requirements, students will also be asked to consider and develop sustainable business practices.

Our program puts you one step ahead by combining the latest technology with the most current business and information technology trends.
Integrating key business functions with the use and understanding of today’s latest technologies, this program provides you with the skills necessary for employment in a competitive market.
The first two years of the program have a common curriculum featuring simulations, teamwork and case studies. In your third year, you may choose one of the following five majors:

Entrepreneurship
The Entrepreneurship major is offered to students interested in creating and leading their own entrepreneurial venture. Entrepreneurship graduates will have a broad-based knowledge of management with a focus on the opportunities and challenges of entrepreneurship.
A variety of courses are offered including creative idea generation, small business management, lean venture creation and entrepreneurial finance.
Students in the Entrepreneurship major are required to successfully participate in the Faculty of Business and Information Technology (FBIT) incubator or complete an internship in an entrepreneurial start-up. This integrative experiential learning component supports graduates, allowing them to put theory into practice.

As a Commerce student pursuing the Finance major, you will be prepared for a successful career in the financial service industry. The Finance program is officially affiliated with the CFA institute and provides a strong basis for students interested in pursuing the CFA designation. The program’s commitment to best professional and ethical practices ensures graduates have the tools necessary to succeed and thrive in their careers. Graduates are also prepared to write the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI) Global Education Inc. exam.
Health Administration

Health Administration
Health care is a dynamic and rapidly growing sector requiring not only frontline providers; health administration professionals will help address current and emerging health care challenges and needs. Bachelor of Health Administration (BHA) graduates will be prepared to work in areas of operations, management, finance and planning in a variety of healthcare sectors and fields. Healthcare policy supports the development of an integrated health system that addresses health needs, improves patient outcomes across the lifespan and increased efficiencies. Healthcare is envisioned as a continuum of care, where the site of care and its delivery will be supported by community agencies, primary care clinics and health institutions.

This Commerce major focuses on how leading companies succeed in understanding and engaging customers. Our curriculum provides students with the necessary theories and practice to succeed in various marketing careers. Our professors also integrate the most current trends in marketing into our courses.

A Technology Management major creates well-rounded individuals who can understand the worlds of both business and information technology (IT).
This major focuses on the managerial aspects of business information technology, and gain hands-on experience with state-of-the-art enterprise software and analytics packages used in business and government today. Understanding of information technology, business solutions and technology strategy is complemented with digital literacy, business communication, systems analysis and design thinking skills. Graduates will be able to communicate across traditional boundaries, taking a holistic view of how IT and business work together to make organizations and individuals more successful, aware and secure.
