Shawenjigewining Hall
Shawenjigewining Hall is a vibrant campus hub that blends technology-enhanced academic spaces with engaging community experiences. Enjoy a coffee at Tim Hortons, join a student club, gain practical experience in our nursing lab through simulated learning, and connect with Indigenous culture and resources at Mukwa’s Den.

Energy Research Centre
The Energy Research Centre (ERC) houses our unique-in-Canada energy science and engineering programs, offering courses in wind, solar, hydrogen, hydraulic, geothermal and nuclear energy. ERC is also home to the Brilliant Catalyst business startup incubator and hands-on learning centre, the Brilliant Energy Institute and the campus retail store.

Business and IT Building
The Business and Information Technology Building features innovative research laboratories, modern lecture halls, a large café (Hunter’s Kitchen), and student lounge areas. It houses the Faculty of Business and Information Technology.

Science Building
The Science Building is home to the Faculty of Science. It features a 250-seat lecture theatre, chemistry, physics and biology labs and a student study hall overlooking Polonsky Commons, among other student-friendly features.

Campus library
The award-winning North Oshawa Library blends modern technology with the warmth of a traditional library. Students enjoy a variety of individual and collaborative learning spaces across multiple floors, including the Dixon-Alger Fireside Reading Room with its iconic glass rotunda overlooking Polonsky Commons.

Software and Informatics Research Centre
The Software Informatics Research Centre features research, study and active learning spaces, including engineering labs in electronics, mechatronics and robotics. It also houses the university's registrar's office.

Charles Hall
Charles Hall, located at 61 Charles Street, is an important academic hub. Built in 1903 and formerly known as the Alger Press Building (1946–1993), it underwent extensive renovation and refurbishment in 2010. Today, this historic building serves as a vibrant centre for learning and research.

Baagwating Indigenous Student Centre
Baagwating Indigenous Student Centre is an inclusive student space designed as a home away from home for Indigenous students. The centre features culturally relevant resources, a full kitchen, student study space, a resource room, and a sitting room complete with a fireplace.

Regent Theatre
The Regent Theatre, located at 50 King Street East and renowned for its rich history and central role in downtown Oshawa, holds a special place in the community. The Regent Theatre now serves as a large lecture theatre for students during the day and hosts community and cultural events in the evenings and on weekends.

Bordessa Hall
Bordessa Hall is a multi-purpose building located north of the Regent Theatre. It features research labs, study space for graduate students, a board room and faculty offices for the Faculty of Social Science and Humanities.

How do I get to campus?
Ontario Tech is located in Oshawa, Ontario, about an hour east of Toronto. Our campus is easy to get to from all points in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and beyond, whether you decide to get here by car or by transit.
We have two campus locations, one in north Oshawa and another in downtown Oshawa. Travel between the north and downtown locations is an easy 15-minute bus ride or about 10 minutes by car.

Am I able to get to campus via public transit?
Both our north and downtown Oshawa campus locations are accessible by public transit.
- Durham Region Transit (DRT): Multiple DRT routes provide access to both campus locations.
- GO Transit: Several GO buses provide access to both of our campus locations. Additionally, visitors can take the GO Train to the Oshawa station, and then access either of our locations using DRT.

Where should I park?
At the north Oshawa campus location, parking is available in Founders Lot 2, Founders Lot 2 - Visitor lot, or Commencement Lot. You will need to pay for parking. View parking rates and information.
At the downtown Oshawa location, public parking is available in the Mary Street Parkade or you can find street parking. Parking rates are available on the City of Oshawa website.

North Oshawa campus: You can head to Shawenjigewining Hall and pick up a brochure in the lobby to start your tour.
Downtown Oshawa campus: You can head to Charles Hall and pick up a brochure in the lobby to start your tour.
