    July 30, 2026 Service disruption: Temporary domestic hot water shutoff in select North Oshawa campus buildings – August 6, 13 and 20

    Domestic hot water will be temporarily unavailable at sinks in select North Oshawa campus buildings while routine maintenance is performed on the university’s hot water storage tanks.

    The disruption will occur on the following dates:

    • Science Building (east and west wings): Thursday, August 6.

    • Business and Information Technology Building and Energy Research Centre: Thursday, August 13.

    • Ontario Power Generation Engineering Building and North Oshawa Campus Library: Thursday, August 20.

    July 7, 2026 Temporary road, walkway and parking space closures for repairs at north Oshawa campus

    Various roads, curbs, parking areas and concrete walkways across the north Oshawa campus may be temporarily inaccessible from July 7 to August 9 to allow for localized asphalt and concrete repairs.

    As this construction work involves localized repairs, large sections will generally remain accessible. However, select parking spaces, roadways and walkways will be temporarily unavailable during active work.

    Anticipated phase schedules are as follows:

    • Phase 1: July 7 to 16, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

    • Phase 2: July 16 to 22, 7 to 8 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

    • Phase 3: July 22 to 28, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

    • Phase 4 and 5: July 28 to August 9, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

    Pedestrians and drivers are asked to use caution near work zones. Dedicated traffic control personnel will be in place where required to support safe and efficient movement across campus. All work is expected to be completed by Sunday, August 9 at 5 p.m.
