Welcome to summer camp
Dear parents/guardians:
Thank you for registering for Ontario Tech University's 2024 Summer Camp(s). Continuous Learning, in partnership with the Mitch and Leslie Frazer Faculty of Education and the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science, is pleased to offer fun, hands-on opportunities for children and youth to learn and explore their curiosity in a positive, safe environment.
Our summer camps are staffed by new and returning Ontario Tech community members, including Ontario Certified Teachers (OCT), teacher candidates in the Faculty of Education program, Engineering Outreach Instructors and university students. Camp sessions are designed to ensure interactivity and active engagement, with low camper to counsellor ratios. Staff work closely with individual groups, especially for the programs offered for younger campers.
We will communicate with you by email about one (1) week before the start of the registered camp. Please keep an eye on your email (and junk/spam folder) for detailed Getting ready for camp information for both in-person and virtual camps.
We are excited to welcome campers back to campus for another year of in-person camps. Please be sure to read through all information shared online and by email prior to camp, including maps, wayfinding, and our camp policies. This ensures an engaging camp session for your child(ren) and your fellow campers!
We especially encourage families new to in-person camps, to become familiar with parking locations and drop-off/pick-up messaging before making your way to campus! Please review the preliminary camp information for a complete parking and wayfinding guide.
Our virtual camps are designed to require minimal parent (or older sibling) support once the camp program has been accessed. Camps for younger children will especially benefit from this support at the start of the daily session. While parents are responsible for supervising their child(ren) in an at-home environment, counsellors will be the primary support during camp activities.
