Welcome to the world of Digital Filmmaking! In Animation Station, campers turn into filmmakers! Using tools such as cameras, iPads, and Green Screen, campers will bring their imagination to life through character creation and digital storytelling, including stop motion animation. Campers will discover the behind-the-scenes world of animated movies by learning how to create storyboards and flipbooks. Campers will learn how to use LEGO®, clay and/or other materials to make their very own stop motion animated short. Discover your own creativity!

Due to the nature of the Animation Station camp activities, consent to the Ontario Tech University 2026 Child & Youth Programming Animation Station Photo/Video Release is mandatory for registration. As part of daily programming, campers will create videos individually and/or in groups, and it will not be possible to participate in the camp without being filmed.

  • Mandatory: Animation Station Photo/Video Release

    Due to the nature of the Animation Station camp activities, consent to the Ontario Tech University 2026 Child & Youth Programming Animation Station Photo/Video Release is mandatory for registration. As part of daily programming, campers will create videos individually and/or in groups, and it will not be possible to participate in the camp without being filmed. 

    At the conclusion of the 2026 Animation Station camp, video content created by campers will be shared with parents/guardians listed during registration via a hidden (unlisted) YouTube link (or a similar platform). While access will be limited to individuals with the link and Ontario Tech University will make reasonable efforts to ensure the content is shared only with the parents/guardians of registered campers, Ontario Tech cannot guarantee absolute privacy. By agreeing to the photo/video release during registration, parents/guardians confirm their consent to this use and acknowledge that they will not share the link or any of the digital content accessed through the link on any public platform. The intent of sharing this content is solely for registered campers and their listed parents/guardians.

    Parents or guardians who do not wish their camper to be filmed are encouraged to consider one of our many other camp offerings.
