Ontario Tech acknowledges the lands and people of the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation.

We are thankful to be welcome on these lands in friendship. The lands we are situated on are covered by the Williams Treaties and are the traditional territory of the Mississaugas, a branch of the greater Anishinaabeg Nation, including Algonquin, Ojibway, Odawa and Pottawatomi. These lands remain home to many Indigenous nations and peoples.

We acknowledge this land out of respect for the Indigenous nations who have cared for Turtle Island, also called North America, from before the arrival of settler peoples until this day. Most importantly, we acknowledge that the history of these lands has been tainted by poor treatment and a lack of friendship with the First Nations who call them home.

This history is something we are all affected by because we are all treaty people in Canada. We all have a shared history to reflect on, and each of us is affected by this history in different ways. Our past defines our present, but if we move forward as friends and allies, then it does not have to define our future.

Digital Marketing and Social Media Management Certificate Program

Overview:

Continuous Learning is pleased to introduce our re-designed social media program - "Digital Marketing & Social Media Management Certificate Program".

This three-course program is designed for you to take action and launch a Social Media strategy you will implement right away so that you can obtain a successful ROI for your organization. By taking a methodical approach to social media - learn, apply, measure, report - you will be confident that you are using the right messages, using the right channels and eliminate feeling overwhelmed.

What makes this program different:
  • It’s actionable. The program is tailored for your organization so that you obtain hands-on results.
  • It’s interactive. You will receive ongoing feedback from the class and the instructors to generate and inspire new ideas.
  • It’s sustainable. We will be laser-focusing on time management techniques so that you can stay on top of your presence online and aligning it with your overarching marketing initiatives.

Completion of all three (3) courses will lead to a University certificate awarded by Ontario Tech University.

Online meeting times

This program has online meeting times. This means you must attend the virtual class at the specified date and time (see the Schedule tab).

Google Meet or Kaltura Virtual Classroom (through Catalog) will be used for online delivery of this program to support interaction and engagement.

This course may include, but is not limited to:

  • Content presentations and/or videos;
  • Hands-on exercises;
  • Case discussions and simulations;
  • Group and individual work (assignments/quizzes);
  • Concept and topic discussions; and
  • Topic reflections.

Fees

Full program: $1250 CAD for three (3) courses + HST 

Individual courses: $450 CAD per individual course + HST

You can register for this course through the secure online registration form. All course fees must be paid at the time of registration.

To obtain the University Certificate you must:

  • Register and make full payment for the certificate option;
  • Attend and successfully complete each required course/element (see course pages listed in the "Required elements" section above); 
  • Actively participate in all components of each course; and
  • Successfully complete any assigned work.

All courses in the Digital Marketing and Social Media Management program are Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario (RIBO) Continuing Education Program accredited courses.

If you are taking this program to satisfy RIBO Continuing Education Program requirements, please contact continuouslearning@ontariotechu.ca before the end of the program so an applicable notation can be made on your official certificate.

Please note that for RIBO spot check purposes, individuals must maintain the continuing education certificates/letters for 5 years to indicate compliance with the Continuing Education Program.
