Overview

professor with map and students watching map on screen Expand your knowledge from your Computer Systems Technology diploma, and acquire the technical and soft skills needed to succeed in an IT-related career.

Information Technology (IT) security is fundamental in today's business environment. The IT Security specialization offers comprehensive knowledge and skills in operating and managing IT security infrastructure.

You will benefit from both theoretical and practical experience with the ability to practice skills learned in the classroom with cutting-edge equipment in our advanced laboratories. You will also have the opportunity to pursue an internship work placement (locally or abroad) or participate in the Capstone study project, where you will work as part of a team to provide consulting services to an industry partner.

Students have access to new, modern buildings, libraries and innovative labs including:

  • Hacker Research Laboratory
  • Networking Laboratory

The program-specific, Netsoc association is what I credit most of my success to. By getting involved, I made life-long friends. Netsoc runs a variety of social and academic-related events, and hosts recruitment events with different companies to help students find both internships and full-time jobs.
