Veterinary school pathway

Studying pre-veterinary medicine

Do you have a passion for the sciences and animal health? Find out how Ontario Tech can help you reach your goal of becoming a veterinarian with our programs that support pre-veterinary studies.

For eligible graduates, we offer a partnership with St Matthew's University School of Veterinary Medicine and St. George's University School of Veterinary Medicine, that will guarantee entry to Ontario Tech graduates who meet the admission requirements.

Your first step to veterinary school is to find an undergraduate program that provides the course work and prerequisites needed to apply.

Both the biomedical science and environmental biology specializations in our Biological Science program include much of the course work and core curriculum needed to pursue veterinary medicine.

Eric Doyle
The professors I have in the Biological Science – Biomedical Science program are unparalleled. Professor Brar understands the minds of students and that physics can be intimidating to the novice learner. Professor Brar was engaging, supportive, caring and a friend to all; he completely changed my outlook on physics! Science courses are filled with instructors that genuinely care about you—that go above and beyond to help you succeed. Eric Doyle Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Biomedical Science Class of 2023
