Overview

students downtown Oshawa campus

Learn to think critically about human social life and how technology shapes, and is shaped by, society. This program encourages you to question everyday assumptions while exploring topics like digital inequality, data ethics and social change. Through experiential learning, including community projects and research opportunities, you’ll apply theory to real-world issues and develop the analytical and problem-solving skills needed to navigate an innovative, interconnected world.

Our Sociology, Technology and Innovation program provides you with the opportunity to explore a wide range of issues, such as the nature of gender identity, racism and class, conflict, shared beliefs, the social implications of the internet and technology, forms of governance and social control, and their impacts on societies and communities

Courses may be offered online or in person. Delivery format is subject to change. Equivalent academic standards apply across all formats.
