Overview
Learn how to build efficient and successful digital marketing and social media plans for your organization with the Creating Content and Expanding Your Network course. This course will help you effectively communicate with your audience through digital media and social media platforms in order to aid your organization's marketing strategy.
This course applies to the Digital Marketing and Social Media Management Certificate Program.
Who should attend?
You may use the knowledge and skills developed through this course to develop an effective digital marketing and social media strategy, such as:
- Project leaders and marketing strategists;
- Sales professionals and managers;
- Entrepreneurs and small business owners;
- Professionals responsible for updating organization's social media channels;
- Those with branded personal social media accounts; and
- Anyone interested in learning how to manage social media channels.
Who should attend?
- Identify your target audience(s) and develop/define a digital marketing and social media strategy;
- Select the best channel(s) based on your target audience, market and content; and
- Build a content calendar to coordinate the creation, distribution and management of content.

Online meeting times
This program has online meeting times. This means you must attend the virtual class at the specified date and time (see the Schedule tab).
Google Meet, Zoom or Kaltura Virtual Classroom (through Catalog) will be used for online delivery of this program to support interaction and engagement.
This course may include, but is not limited to:
- Content presentations and/or videos;
- Hands-on exercises;
- Case discussions and simulations;
- Group and individual work (assignments/quizzes);
- Concept and topic discussions; and
- Topic reflections.
This is an open enrolment course.
Those completing Ontario Tech University Continuous Learning open enrolment offerings (e.g. certificate programs, courses, workshops, microcertifications, etc.) are subject to the policies of Ontario Tech University and Continuous Learning.
