Overview

Continuous Learning, in partnership with the Career Centre at Ontario Tech University, is pleased to offer participants of the 11-week Nuclear Career Accelerator Program the option to access an additional 12 weeks of career support services.

As part of the program experience, learners will receive a comprehensive suite of career support services, including access to a dedicated Employment Advisor for one-on-one career support.

These personalized career appointments are designed to help learners confidently navigate their job search. Whether you are seeking feedback on your resume or cover letter, exploring career pathways in the nuclear industry, strengthening your LinkedIn presence, or developing effective job search and networking strategies, our Employment Advisors are here to support you.

The Career Support Services add-on bundle is available to:

  • Participants of the 11-week Nuclear Career Accelerator Program.

What you'll gain

This add-on offers a comprehensive suite of career support services, including access to our dedicated Employment Advisor for up to 12 weeks post-program completion. The Employment Advisor will skillfully assist you in refining your resume and optimize your LinkedIn profile. They will also support you in developing a tailored strategy that will propel your job search and grant you access to Ontario Tech's network of energy industry partners.

    Description

    Our one-on-one career appointments are designed to help you confidently navigate every step of your job search. Whether you need personalized feedback on your resume or cover letter, want to explore career paths in the nuclear industry, strengthen your LinkedIn presence, or build effective job-search and networking strategies, our Employment Advisors are here to support you. We also offer interview preparation and mock interviews, as well as guidance on evaluating and negotiating job offers.

    Services available
    • Up to five (5) one-on-one, 1-hour appointments with an Employment Advisor.
    • Employment workshops on resume and cover letter writing, career exploration, mock interviews, networking, job search, and LinkedIn.
    • Lunch and learns with industry partners.

Nuclear Career Accelerator: Career Support Services Add-on Online and self-paced: Monday, January 25 to Sunday, April 25, 2027

This add-on offers registrants opportunities to engage in a variety of Career Support Services. 

Participation is self-directed and self-paced. Registrants must engage independently and at their own pace, within the given timeframe.

Some activities will have scheduled times and dates for attendance and/or participation. Missed events, sessions and/or activities cannot be rescheduled.

For full benefits, maximum participation is recommended.

You can register for this course through the secure online registration form. All course fees must be paid at the time of registration.

This add-in feature may include the following opportunities:

  • One-on-one online sessions;
  • Content presentations and/or videos;
  • Resume and cover letter writing workshops, resources and support;
  • Career exploration support;
  • Mock interviews/workshops;
  • Professional brand development;
  • Job search strategies;
  • Networking opportunities; and
  • Learning sessions in collaboration with industry partners.

This is an open enrolment offering.

Those completing Ontario Tech University Continuous Learning open enrolment offerings (e.g. certificate programs, courses, workshops, microcertifications, etc.) are subject to the policies of Ontario Tech University and Continuous Learning. Ontario Tech policies can be found in the Policy library. Continuous Learning policies can be found in the Regulations section of the Continuous Learning website. Specifically, those completing open enrolment offerings are expected to adhere to the General and Open enrolment regulations.

Due to the personalized nature of our services, refunds are not provided once the program has started. Missed sessions (one-on-one’s, workshops, and learning sessions) are non-refundable. Transfers may be granted at our discretion.

This add-on is specifically tailored to provide maximum benefits to both working professionals and individuals in career transition who have completed the 11-week Nuclear Career Accelerator Program.
