Management Excellence
Overview
What is the connection among excellent customer service, creating effective organizational teams, and the new and unique challenges that exist in workplaces today? The Management Excellence course will help you understand how to create an environment of effective, cohesive teams that will enable your organization to face the challenges of contemporary workplaces. In doing so, your employees and managers will be able to engage with customers motivated by a culture of delivering excellence both within the organization and outside.Who should attend?
You may use the knowledge and skills developed through this course to effectively handle, lead and manage organizational changes, such as:
- Executives, managers/supervisors, team and project leaders;
- Organization strategists and planners;
- Entrepreneurs and business owners;
- Frontline, customer service and human resource professionals; and
- Anyone looking to enhance their change management skills.
What you'll learn
- Understand and appreciate the expectations of all stakeholders with a focus on team contributors;
- Understand and analyze teams based on the elements of effective teams; and
- Appropriately adjust your leadership style according to the competence and maturity of your team.

Registration
You can register for this course through the secure online registration form. All course fees must be paid at the time of registration.
Online meeting times
This program has online meeting times. This means you must attend the virtual class at the specified date and time (see the Schedule tab).
Google Meet, Zoom or Kaltura Virtual Classroom (through Catalog) will be used for online delivery of this program to support interaction and engagement.
This course may include, but is not limited to:
- Content presentations and/or videos;
- Hands-on exercises;
- Case discussions and simulations;
- Group and individual work (assignments/quizzes);
- Concept and topic discussions; and
- Topic reflections.
This is an open enrolment course.
Those completing Ontario Tech University Continuous Learning open enrolment offerings (e.g. certificate programs, courses, workshops, microcertifications, etc.) are subject to the policies of Ontario Tech University and Continuous Learning. Ontario Tech policies can be found in the Policy library. Continuous Learning policies can be found in the Regulations section of the Continuous Learning website. Specifically, those completing open enrolment offerings are expected to adhere to the General and Open enrolment regulations.
Requirements
To successfully complete the course, you must:
- Register and make full payment for the course;
- Attend all course meeting times;
- Actively participate in all components of the course; and
- Successfully complete any assigned work by due date
