Adolescents and Mental Health Interventions
Overview
In this course, learners will apply healthcare interventions to scenarios with adolescents in mental healthcare who are in various developmental stages. This may include strategies in building rapport through meaningful engagement, setting boundaries, and overcoming clinician bias of adolescents. Learners are exposed to scenarios where they must also articulate strategies in maintaining an adolescent’s safety by preventing them from self-harm and develop safety plans according to each scenario. Lastly, learners will apply strategies of engaging the family and the community in strengthening recovery for adolescents.

To successfully complete the course, you must:
